Why should one play floorball out of all sports? If you haven't heard of floorball or if you haven't played it yet, you might ask yourself this question.
I guess there are as many answers to this question as there are players, but in our experience it is a sport that sells itself once you have tried it.

What is floorball?
Floorball is an indoor team sport that is played with a goalie and five field players plus a number of substitutes. It is a fast and fun non-contact sport, but is at the same time safe and has very few injuries. The rules and equipment have been designed in order to create a safe sport. Floorball can thus be enjoyed by all ages and both boys and girls in different formats of play - whether you are playing socially or competitively.

These qualities also makes floorball ideally suited as a school sport and for recreation centres, youth groups and the likes. Most players take an instant liking to the sport.

The sport first became popular in Scandinavia and is now established as one of the biggest sports in those countries and is still growing considerably. The International Floorball Federation (IFF) was founded in 1986 and World Championships are played regularly since then.

All floorball equipment that is used in competitions must be approved by the IFF. This is important to have in mind when you are buying floorball equipment. Make sure that it has IFF-approval. It also guarantees that the product has been tested and passed according to the procedures and specifications defined by the IFF.
